By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Caitlin_Lucy]Caitlin Lucy Nokia 5300 is the phone for music lovers. The phone has a sporty look, has more rugged and compact form, and host of dedicated features for wholesome musical experience. Nokia 5300 is unlike other music phones that cram in music functionalities. It has dedicated buttons that start the music with one touch. The music player is simple but effective, with equalizers and play lists. Further, the Nokia 5300 includes a low-end pair of stereo headphones with a microphone, which can be used for calling. There is also small (and easy-to-lose) adapter provided. One can download and store more music in the device, and if desired customize the tracks without hassle. Music were easily downloaded via USB 2.0 to the phone’s microSD slot. The Stereo Bluetooth headset of the Nokia 5300 is easy to use and set up, while the music management software adds versatility into the Nokia 5300’s music prowess. Apart from the mentioned, Nokia 5300 comes with a solid FM player to provide its users more music. But the Nokia 5300 is also quiet capable of handling calls and contact lists. Voice quality was good, while the speaker phone is amongst the loudest in the market. There is an option for voice dialling, but the same cannot be spoken about the voice command capability. Blue tooth and push-to-talk capabilities are present, and conference calling was not difficult. There is enough room to accommodated enough contacts. Through the Nokia PC studio, the phone syncs one’s desktop-based Outlook contacts. Nokia 5300 scores high on messaging as well. Text on the clear, bright screen looks rounded and clean. The typing is easy through the wide rubber keypad and the SMS viewer shows up to 128 characters. The [http://www.121mobileshop.co.uk/newdeals.asp?id=396]Nokia 5300 is 0.8 inches in width and comes with spring slide mechanism. And the rubberised border around the screen is worth a notice. First Date Success - It’s All In The Preparation

By Alison Edwards Dating can be stressful but first dates can be particularly painful and nerve wrecking. Follow my simple tips to getting ready for a date and before you know it youll be breezing through first dates with youre only concern being what to wear on your second date. 1. Dont stress! First of all, try not to stress yourself out. Tell yourself, its only a date and if it doesnt work out, so what? 2. Easy on the wedding plans You may laugh but dont start planning your wedding! Weve all been there; dreaming that this could be the one, that youll fall in love after a whirlwind romance and get married and all before youve ordered your starter! Obviously, its good to be positive but just take each day as it comes in the early stages otherwise you could be heading for disappointment. 3. Listen to music Listen to some music whilst youre getting ready; whatever gets you in the mood for a night out and relaxes you. 4. Soak in a bath If you have time, take a long soak in the bath with a small glass of wine to relax you. I emphasise the word small; you dont want to turn up drunk or smelling of alcohol. 5. Subtle make-up Girls, try to keep your make-up subtle. The majority of men dont like to see make-up caked on and if you do happen to snuggle up to your date, he wont be too impressed if you leave make-up on his collar. As a basic rule, if youre going for smoky eyes, keep your lips natural with a lick of gloss and if youre opting for the red Monroe pout then keep your eyes natural. 6. Hair to go You dont want a high maintenance hair style that has you running to the toilet every two minutes to check its in place so stick to what you know suits you and what you feel comfortable with. Also, easy on the hair products in case your date decides to run his fingers through your hair and gets them stuck! 7. What to wear? Dont wear anything too revealing on a first date as it could give out the wrong impression. Remember you can still look sexy without revealing all your goods; less is more! Decide what youre going to wear in advance so youre not in a last minute panic with a bedroom floor covered in reject outfits. The main thing is to feel comfortable in what youre wearing so you look relaxed; fidgeting with straps and pulling down your hemline every few minutes doesnt look good. Your choice of outfit will obviously depend on where you are going; if its fancy restaurant then you can glam it up but if its a lunchtime date or the cinema then dress it down accordingly. 8. Killer heels or comfy flats? As for shoes, heels look great but only if you can walk in them so only wear shoes that you are comfortable in. Also, dont wear new shoes in case you get blisters on the night. Again, your choice of shoes will depend on where you are going so dress for the venue. 9. Fresh breath Dont forget to clean your teeth and rinse with a mouthwash. It may sound obvious but so many people forget. Also, keep a packet of mints or chewing gum in your bag in case you need to freshen up later. 10. Aroma, aroma! Once youre ready, dont forget to squirt a bit of your favourite perfume behind the ears and on your wrist (these are the strongest pulse points). Dont go overboard, the key is to have an aroma about you, not to overpower him with your scent. 11. Arrange transport Book a taxi or arrange for someone to give you a lift so you get to your meeting place in plenty of time. I wouldnt advise accepting any offer to pick you up or take you home until youve got to know him. 12. Keep the conversation flowing Give some thought to what youre going to talk about. Obviously, you cant plan it word for word but think about things you want to find out about him and questions you could ask to keep the conversation flowing. If you know a good joke, its always good to throw that in at some point in the evening to lighten the mood. 13. A kiss goodnight no more! Dont feel pressured into going back to his place or inviting him into yours and certainly dont feel pressured into having sex! I think its best to end the evening with a goodnight kiss so you both leave each other wanting more and more importantly eager to arrange that second date. If you cant trust yourself to resist his charm go unshaven in the nether regions so that way you wont be tempted to go any further than a kiss! 14. Watch your drink Dont drink excessively! Its easy to drink faster and more than you would normally because of your nerves but try and pace yourself and if you do feel yourself getting more than tipsy, drink some water. Also, if you dont know your date well take your drink with you when you go to the toilets; with so many drinks being spiked in bars these days its better to be safe than sorry. 15. Tell a friend Tell a friend or family member where youre going and who with and let them know when youve arrived home safe. 16. Have fun Finally, dont forget to enjoy yourself and have fun! Unsecured loans: A Risk Free Approach to Gratify Immediate Needs

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Amanda_Pane]Amanda Pane The world has been varying quickly. Nowadays, people can think and dare to dream something big or unusual. There is no obstruction on dreams; same rule applies with our desires. Numerous innovative and easier loan options have made people aspire for many things. With the passage of time, unsecured loans have really become a favoured option for all the borrowers, who dont have collateral to offer or willingly not want to propose it. Unsecured loans come with various benefits such as: There isnt any risk of losing property as no collateral is pledged against the loan amount. Non-involvement of collateral makes an easier choice for tenants or non-homeowners. Its easily gettable because non-involvement of collateral reduces the paper work. A borrower gets shorter repayment period, so he needs to pay off his loan amount soon, consequently, the faster a borrower relieves from a loan the lesser amount he would pay as interest. Unsecured loans work as rescuers in an instant needs of money and can be obtained even if a borrower doesnt have money. However, these lucrative benefits are not related to lender. A lender can lose his money, if a borrower doesnt repay the loan amount. Therefore, to make his place secure, a lender usually charges high rate of interest and allows shorter repayment period. Well, terms and conditions can be stiff as per the current credit ratings and financial capability of a borrower. UK lending market has been growing swiftly as more and more lenders have entered with various loan plans and lucrative benefits. With the advent of Internet, many of the borrowers are opting for online loans because by doing this they can save their precious times and relive them from hassles of consulting many lenders. Why Collecting Diecast Cars Is More Popular Than Ever

By Gregg Hall There are a wide variety of hobbies that people take up to fill their spare time. Hobbies can range from activities such as knitting or drawing to rebuilding computers and cars. One broad hobby that encompasses many walks of life is collecting. It is such a broad hobby because collections can be comprised of almost anything that pleases the collector. A popular collector item is cars, however, this is also a broad topic. Collectors may accumulate luxury cars, old cars to be restored, or even miniature car replicas. The latter being the most wallet friendly and easy to store makes it a very common collectible item. If one’s interest lies with miniature cars, diecast cars will certainly be visible on their radar. More specifically, NASCAR diecast cars are often sought after by collectors. However, for the novice collector, the cost of building up a NASCAR diecast collection can be quite pricey. Some collectors argue that spending a portion of their life savings to maintain their collection robs them of their enjoyment. One option these collectors have is to seek bargains on Ebay. While some sellers may hike their prices in order to turn a large profit on the mega internet trading website, others are in it for the love of collecting. Therefore, one stands a decent chance at finding NASCAR diecast at affordable prices so that their desire of owning a collection may be satiated. So how does an inexperienced collector differentiate good deals from rip-offs? Firstly, one must consider the specifications and features of the car before determining its value. The main specification in determining the price of diecast cars is the size, and, as most things go, bigger size means bigger price tag. For a few reasons the 1/64 scale is an excellent way to get started collecting diecast cars: they are low-priced and easy to store. A good way to get started is to buy in bulk lots. In this way one gets a good amount of cars for a reasonable price and they can then be displayed in a case or on shelving without looking bare. If you are on the opposite end of the collector spectrum and are considering selling some or all of your cars, selling in bulk lots is also a great option. Ebay is a great place to get started buying and/or selling lots, just remember to include ample pictures and thorough descriptions in order to get the most bidders. There are options for more savvy collectors who desire a more advanced collection. The 1/24 and 1/8 scale cars are more expensive than the 1/64 scale, but they are bigger and often have movable hoods and doors which add a realistic aspect. There are different styles of 1/24 cars such as the Sprint, Nextel, and Craftsman series. All of these series boast quality detail, but the Craftsman series is harder to find because the demand is lower than those of the other series. The 1/8 scale cars are the most expensive and are much larger than the other scales. If space is an issue, consider where you will store these models before purchasing them. Fall for Outdoor Entertaining This Autumn

By Debbie Rodgers Aaaah, autumn! It’s the perfect time to entertain outdoors — most of the bugs are gone, the sun isn’t scorching even though it’s warm enough to enjoy an afternoon or evening al fresco, and there’s a bounty of good things to serve for an outdoor meal. Because the days are shorter in the autumn, outdoor entertaining in the fall calls for special attention to lighting and temperature. Lighting The earlier sunset will afford you an ideal opportunity to bathe your outdoor space in evening lights. Use soft light, but use plenty of it. Try dozens of votive candles in jars and glasses to protect the flame from the wind, hurricane lamps, or kerosene lanterns set on low. Create cozy seating areas and equip each with a glowing light source. Heating The method you’ll use to chase the chill from the night will vary depending on your climate and your outdoor space. If you have a yard (and community by-laws allow), a campfire is a wonderful informal party setting. In smaller gardens, consider self-contained fire pits or a chimenea. For a more formal affair, you can install a propane-powered heater. These units are available in a range of heating powers and prices. Or, drape attractive throws or quilts on each chair for your guests to wrap around their shoulders to ward off the night air. Of course, you’ll want to take advantage of the wonderful colors and textures of autumn in your decorating scheme and table settings. Color Autumn’s colors are deep and rich — russet, crimson, burnt orange, gold, dark green, and the color of hay. Use these hues repeatedly in tablecloths and settings, flowers, centerpieces, and even the food. Scoop out pumpkins and other squash and fit them with containers of water to make vases. Mass potted mums in vivid colors. Use orange Chinese lanterns, bright rosehips, stems of red or orange berries, or chilies. Wrap vibrant maple or sumac leaves around votive candleholders or napkin rings. Sunflower heads can be strewn on the tabletop, or left on the flower stalks in a container. Texture The textures of fall are earthy and rustic. Especially play these up if your gathering is informal — a corn roast, a bonfire, a jeans and sweater evening. Use burlap or rough cotton to cover your buffet table, and dish towels as napkins. Weigh down your tablecloth with apples or pears hung on rough twine. Or use rattan placemats and wicker baskets. Terracotta pot saucers make great paper plate holders. If you’re hosting a fancy sit-down outdoor dinner, use the subtler textures of hydrangea blossoms and colored leaves on a linen tablecloth. Try bringing your indoor dining table outdoors for the evening-it will add unexpected elegance to your setting. Paint gold lettering on small gourds to use as place cards. Grace your table with late-blooming roses in crystal vases. Whether you hold a harvest hoedown or a stylish sit-down dinner party for eight, fall for outside entertaining this autumn! Debbie Rodgers, the haven maven, owns and operates Paradise Porch, and is dedicated to helping people create outdoor living spaces that nurture and enrich them. Her latest how-to guide “Attracting Butterflies to Your Home and Garden” is now available on her web site. Outstanding Business Professors at WVU, Part 2

By Jonathan Bentz Stratford Douglas enrolled at the University of North Carolina in an economics graduate program in 1982. Five years later, he graduated with his Ph.D. in Econometrics. After taking three years to work for the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, he joined the WVU College of Business and Economics as an Economics professor in 1990. For a country like this to function well, we all need to understand the basic institutions, Douglas said. The market underlies much of what is changing in the world. Voting responsibly and participating in democracy the way we should is dependant on understanding economics. Dr. Douglas entered the world of economics after teaching at the high school level and taking a few years to see the world. Since joining the College of B&E, Douglas has brought his life experience together with his joy of teaching to make economics accessible to everyone. Many students dont know why they need to know economics, Douglas said. Most people can get through life without it, but its a point of view and a way of thinking that is helpful for a lot of people. In the 15 years Douglas has spent at WVU, he has won the B&E Outstanding Teacher Award three times, most recently in 2000. He has also been honored as Outstanding Researcher by the College of B&E twice. “Somebody 19 or 20 needs to be motivated initially, but they show me how to teach once they are engaged,” Douglas said. “Teachers make a difference in students lives by example. I try to be accessible and relate what Im teaching to what they see in the real world. Jonathan is a starving, struggling writer who aspires to work in public relations when he graduates from West Virginia University. He has worked in marketing with Advanced Internet and is currently a PR/Communications intern with WVU’s College of Business and Economics. Bentz is also a stringer for the Associated Press. Growing Ginseng

By Kevin Stith Ginseng is a fleshy rooted herb and a slow growing plant that takes years to grow. Ginseng grows in well-drained, cool, shaded hardwood forests. Ginseng does not grow in full sunlight, and hardwood forests provide the plant with plenty of shade. Ginseng is a perennial plant, but unlike other perennials lies dormant some years and does not grow new tops every year. The root does not die but lies dormant until the following year. Ginseng seeds sprout up in the spring. Hence, the best time to plant is sometime the end of September until the end of February. Seeds or plants will sprout the end of April. Plant seeds about 1/2 to 1 deep, two year old roots about 1 1/2 deep. Lay the roots on their side, not vertical. Then cover the whole bed with 1 I of mulch or rotten leaves. One-year-old plants will have three leaflets, looking like a strawberry plant. The second year, the plants usually have five leaflets, and the following year, it begins to branch out with two, three and four prongs with three to five leaflets in each prong. It grows in the wild about 1 tall that blooms in the summer. When it ripens in the fall or late summer it has bright red berries. Each berry usually has two seeds. The seeds may be kept in damp sand for one year and used for replanting or sold. It takes about six to eight years to grow to the point where its roots are large enough to harvest. If it is cultivated using fertilizers and pesticides, it takes about 4 or 5 years to grow. Ginseng roots do not grow straight down. They are usually at about 45 degrees in the ground. Carefully expose the underground stem at the base of the above-ground portion, and follow it until it joins the top of the true root. The taproot may be forked and have many diffusely branched rootlets. Expose the whole root and wash as soon as possible but do not scrub. A little soil left around the root rings may enhance its value. Spread cleaned roots on a piece of old plywood or screen rack in the shade for drying. Turn frequently and provide adequate aeration. Drying time varies with root size and drying techniques. Large roots require three or more weeks to dry at room temperature or outdoors, but small roots dry in a few days. Ginseng provides detailed information on Ginseng, Growing Ginseng, Ginseng Tea, American Ginseng and more. Ginseng is affiliated with Therapeutic Essential Oils. Find Treasure: 14 Unusual Places To Search

By Frank Pandozzi Are you the adventurous type? Have you ever wanted to be a treasure hunter but you were not sure where to begin? Heres some ideas that myself and others have used with positive results. You may not get rich, but youll have a great time. Yes, People Do Hide Money Since the beginning of time people have hid, cached, hoarded, secreted and buried money. You may be asking yourself why? Here are a number of reasons. People dont trust banks or financial institutions. Many individuals who grew up during the depression are hiding money. They fear they may go through what their families went through. So they hide money as a way to feel secure. Many people dont trust their spouses. Im not kidding. I have been asked by husbands and wives to search for buried caches that were suspected hidden by the spouse. People hide money and valuables because they dont trust their family. This is the same situation as the above example. There always have been and always will be internal money problems with some families. And for some, hiding their money so that know family member knows about it, is the answer. This next example is a common one, even today. Many people hide money with the intention of giving it to their family members or a spouse. However, they die first. The hidden money is never found. Its not found because the hider never told the hidee. Happens all the time! You can find treasure for the above reasons, many people do. Here are 14 unusual places to search. The first few places require a metal detector. You can purchase one that will do the job for around two hundred dollars. Posthole Banks Okay, youre asking whats a posthole bank? A posthole bank is the hole in the ground that is left after a fence post is dug. Many farmers buried their coins beneath the fence posts of their properties. They simply removed the fence post, inserted the money into the hole, and then replaced the post. I know individuals who have located these posthole banks. Near Big Old Trees Ive been lucky myself with this one. I found a small, mason jar filled with old coins. The jar was buried at the base of an old elm tree. Many times old trees are used as markers for the person who is hiding the money. Usually the old trees in backyards are where most treasures are found. Gardens People have always had gardens, and many have buried their valuables their. These garden hiding places are the most prevalent. I know others who have searched gardens and found everything from mason jars full of coins to large steel boxes of jewelry. In The Outhouse Dont laugh; but do think about this one. How many of you would think of searching an outhouse for a buried treasure? Many old timers cached their coins in the outhouse because they knew people would never think of searching there. The old out houses can still be found. If you want to give this one a try, look beneath the seat. The wooden frame the seat sits on can usually be removed. Dont worry, unless the crapper is still being used, the bacteria and stuff is no longer there. If it were, I would have died years ago. Beneath Barn Flooring Heres another area I have first hand knowledge of. Many old barns have wooden floors that sit on top of a crawl space. Often times money and valuables were hidden below the floor. Look for loose floorboards as a good sign that a cache is there. Rivers and Creeks Where do you think most thieves throw their loot when fleeing from the law? I have heard many stories from treasure searchers who have dragged river and creek bottoms and have found cash, coins and jewelry. Some of these finds have been old. Coins and paper currency dated in the 1850s were recently located in a creek in Pennsylvania. They were cached inside what looked like an old bank safety deposit box. All you need is a rope tied to a grappling hook. Youll uncover many items, mostly junk, as well as getting the hook stuck on tree limbs time and time again. If youre the enterprising kind, research the robberies in your area, especially the ones where the money or items were never returned. Beneath Bridges This also has to do with thieves on the run. When you are searching those river and creek beds be sure that you also take the time to search beneath the bridges. Search the bridge itself as well as the ground beneath it. And remember; when thieves are on the run, they dont spend a lot of time hiding their stolen goods. So look in the obvious places like between the joists of the bridge, or the steel girders. If it will take time to climb up to, or its too dangerous, then youre wasting your time. By the way, I know an adventurous individual who has recovered large amounts of cash from beneath two bridges, less than two miles from each other. Why was the cash beneath those bridges? Most likely it was drug money and the drug dealer was caught before going back to retrieve his stash. Picture Frame Backs If you enjoy going to home auctions or flea markets, then make sure you pay special attention to those old picture frames. The frames themselves may be worth lots of money, but you can also find treasures on the back of those frames. Many individuals used to hide money between the picture backing and the frame. Others just stapled an envelope with the cash directly to the frame back. Old Medicine Cabinets When youre at the flea markets and auctions, check those old medicine cabinets. They used to have slots in them to dispose of used razor blades. Its been known that many individuals have secreted their coins into those slots. If you get permission to treasure hunt old abandoned houses, be sure to search those medicine cabinets as well as the following places. Pipe Safe Look for piping that leads nowhere and that has been capped off. If youre in an old house and you notice a large pipe that looks like it do’s not belong where it is, in other words, there are no valves to it, and its capped? Its probably a pipe safe. There have been people who stashed all kinds of money from silver dollars to paper money inside piping. Beneath Attic Floors Be sure to check the attic flooring of old homes. Look beneath any loose flooring between the joists. This was another common hiding area. Basement Floor Joists The same as above look between the joists. Loose Stone Basement Walls When youre in the basements of older homes, be sure to look for any of the basement stonewall that may be loose, for easy removal. Small and large caches have been located there. Inside the walls People have also used the walls of their homes as a hiding place for money. Ive seen everything from holes on the walls covered by a picture, to lath and plaster walls with slots cut into them for coins. Always ask for permission before you attempt to go into any abandoned property. And be sure to respect the rights of all property owners. Frank W.
